autumnluv143I had a dream about Orchid last night. It was part dream and part nightmare. She was a variety of ages and a variety of things had happened to her. In part of the dream I was being chased by a dinosaur, but I forget why. Part of the dream, Orchid was 3 again and we were in the hospital. At the beginning of the dream I had flown to Texas and met her brother and he was going to introduce me to Orchid as a surprise. We went to a Bloodlust rpg party and I kept looking around trying to figure out who she was until I saw her eyes. I knew immediately it was Orchid because of her eyes. Then we were in my kitchen and I was digging around in an old junk drawer for a picture I used to keep of her in there. In some part of the dream I watched helplessly as Orchid was under the spell of the devil. We were attacked in a back alleyway in part of it.
I realize that it's just a dream, but I think this dream has manifested out of my fears of what could possibly of happened to that little girl since she was lost in the Texas system. This stemmed from a conversation I had with my mom yesterday about her. We were talking about whether or not Orchid would remember us, even in the slightest. We had her so young, but we were such a big part of her life. I told her about the movie "White Oleander" and that towards the end, Astrid confronts her mother about the same face she's been drawing and remembering from a very young girl. I just hope that we can be some distant memory where she knows she was safe. Heh...in part of the dream, Orchids adopted name was Astrid.
*sighs* She turned 10 in May.
