Jun. 17th, 2005 12:34 amFlashing images of a wedding. On stage. Getting changed in the back and then moving, slowly, with my child to my grandmother's apartment. An old, run-down building. She's not there, but I changed clothes...there were bags of them everywhere...from Lane Bryant. The looked like they were being taken out to the garbage. There was no wall...just the outside. There was a door though, and a bathroom outside the door. I kept thinking about the bathroom, but never made it there.
I went to leave, my grandmother wasn't there. I was walking across the street, across the neutral ground to my car when I saw my grandmother get out of a vehicle that had some people I knew in it. They were all getting out. They'd adopted my grandmother, but it looked like it was against her will. She looked across the street at me with a sadness that nearly broke my heart. I went up and started to talk to them. They are not related to me and I can tell they think that I'm infringing upon their family and their life with my grandmother. I miss her. I know I haven't seen her in a very long time. I follow them up to the apartment and now it has 5 rooms. Two of them belong to the bastard children. My grandmother looks tired and taller than she ever was. She won't let me talk to her, but she hugs me. I get into the apartment and she's not there. She's gone again. I went back to the stage in the church were the wedding was. Something about a reception. I was missing my veil....
