Comic Genius or Obnoxiously Coherent?

I was told the other night that I should be a stand-up comedian. Eh, I've been told this for years. Still not sure how I should react to it. I love making people laugh and it's even better when I make the people I find the most interesting laugh. Their praise is extremely uplifting.

Unfortunately though, I tend to make the people who (as with the couple the other night) don't have an amazing personality or well-used brains laugh the most. The couple in question are parents of a friend of mine. I walked in, already in rare form and was asked how things were. I went through my usual garbage about the people I work with. This, I guess, was enough to get the ball rolling. I appreciated the compliment.

I'm a dirty, foul-mouthed whore. I'm also quick and dry witted. Those combinations can be funny or scary. My thing is, I depend too much on audience interaction.

Bah..just something to write about.

i hear the same type of thing occassionally. My problem is, i'm only funny to people who know me and actually know the people i'm talking about.
