Good News Galore

autumnluv143I got awesome news today. The Branch Manager from the St. Rose office called me this afternoon to tell me that they do want me to come on board there. I'm feeling fantastic. Apparently I'm going to be a bit of a pressure relief valve for the Branch Manager. I'll be dealing with alot of the stuff he just can't manage to get to. It's going to take some adjustment to go from doing what I do now to what I'm apparently going to be doing but that's where my go-go-gadget brains come in to play. I can figure it out and if I can't, someone will have to show me. I'm not shy.
I'm so excited. I have a job to come to when I get home. AND I'm transferring so I can keep all my pay, 401K, health insurance...etc. I still get a safety incentive and a profit sharing bonus. *does a happy jig*
He knows roughly when I'm going to be down and said that's ok too. Shit, he even offered to store some stuff of mine that I"m shipping home. I laughed and told him it wasn't necessary but it was a good offer. I don't even mind the drive from Slidell. As much as I could complain about my job, I really do like it. I like learing stuff I would never learn working in retail or anywhere else. I'm amazed at how much of the water quality testing and coal/energy source testing world I've managed to learn about. Guess I need to buckle down here and get things settled so I can learn a little more before I leave.
Anyway...I have to go so I can stop and pick up some food on my way home.
