Pelicanpalooza - Benefit for Camp Pelican

      For the past four years, The Topcats, and many other bands, have played Pelicanpalooza, a benefit for Camp Pelican. Camp Pelican is a free week-long camp held in June every year for children with pulmonary disorders (Cystic Fibrosis, asthma, trach, and ventilator dependent). They are the only camp that will take a child on a ventilator without a caregiver because they have enough of their own medical staff (doctors, nurses, nursing students, respiratory therapists, and respiratory therapy students). Everyone involved with the camp does so as a volunteer. Pelicanpalooza is the largest fundraiser for Camp Pelican. Without Pelicanpalooza, the camp would not be able to do as much for these children.       This years' Pelicanpalooza will be held at Southport Hall on Sunday, August 12th, starting at 1:00PM, doors open at noon. Admission is $15.00 per person. Children under 12 get in free. There will be a raffle for a cruise for two through VIP Cruises. Tickets for the raffle are $5.00 each, and there will also be silent auction boards with many cool items up for bid. All proceeds go to Camp Pelican. Check out the band schedule:

Awww man now that looks like FUN!!! Much better *and a worthier cause* then spending time at home with my Step mom!! LOL
