Mandy Patinkin

The year and a half that I lived in Denver, Criminal Minds was one of my favorite shows. It was very cool to see this group of people go at a crime scene and investigation from different directions the way they did. Great plot lines, great characters...goood stuff. Mandy Patinkin played Jason Gideon. He was one of the senior agents in the behavioral analysis unit and like a father to the younger crowd. 

I've just read that he won't be returning for the fall and that they may be bringing Joe Mantegna in to fill his spot. That should prove to be...interesting to say the least. So, the reason for this post, in researching Mandy Patinkin's career history (I also completely loved him in Showtime's Dead Like Me), I've only just found out that it was him who cried out (so famously) "Hallo! My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die." Never would have referenced the two in a lifetime if I had not looked the man up. This only reinforces my love for him. 

I'd do him.

Check his performance in "Yentl". He was wonderful! Have you heard him sing? He's got an astounding voice and is more famous for his performances on Broadway than for his movies, IMO.

You can do him after I get done with him. ;-)

Not surprising that he is leaving, he did the same thing with Chicago Hope and one other show whose name escapes me. It is as if he simply gets bored with the character he plays and moves on. The sad thing is IIRC that when he leaves a show it crashes and burns. so sad if that happens this time as I too am a fan.
