So, I just got off the phone with someone from the Women's Entertainment network. Someone had contacted me about the TV show "Secret Lives of Women." If you haven't seen this show, the title is pretty self-explanatory. She had contacted me last week through MySpace to ask me about being addicted to SecondLife.
I wrote her back, briefly, and let her know that I wasn't addicted to SL but that I knew women who were and would see if they were interested in doing an interview. She wrote me back again and said she was still interested in my story, so I gave her a call.
I explained that SecondLife affords people the opportunity to lead a life without as many of the trials and tribulations that a first life has to offer. It allows you to explore being someone that you're not. It let's you be as sexy as you want without those sudden pangs that you are only lying to yourself. In my little virtual world, I can be sexy, strip, wear clothes that will never get near my real body, be the life of the party for reasons other than being loud and obnoxious...etc.
Apparently they are doing a documentary through this show on women in Second Life and what it means to them. Who knows? Maybe you'll see me on TV some day (gawd).
