So Saturday was Endymion. I've been punched in the face with reasons I don't do big New Orleans parades. I don't have the energy to go into great detail with everything. It's too early. Let's just sum it up with this. Somewhere, either in a stranger's house/hotel room/car/whatever or on Orleans near N. Murat is a set of keys, my favorite perfume and some other random stuff. The set of keys is the only set I have to my car. How exciting is that?

Anyone want to start taking bets on how much it's going to cost me to get a dealership made key to fit my car?

it shouldn't cost you much, actually, and as far as I know, it needn't be a dealer-made key, as long as you can get the key # from somewhere in the paperwork of the car.

I say this because my the key to my old Camry stopped working -- the laser cuts had been worn down, and the key would slip out of the ignition -- thankfully, leaving the car running! -- but it still didn't seem quite safe. :) Anyway, I remember getting a key made at a little place (that definitely wasn't the dealer), and they didn't have a problem. They actually preferred the key # over the old key itself.

Best of luck!!!

Oh no! I'm so sorry you lost your stuff... :( At least you can get the key redone, but still. That's stuff's important.

I hope you still had fun at the parade, though. Sorry I couldn't go down there with you. *hug!*
