Angry little girl.
Mar. 12th, 2008 07:40 pmAre you angry, little girl?
It burns through your eyes
But I can see through that.
I know there is hurt beyond the fire
Your anger lifts out from every pore
Your hurt hides inside, cowering
It refuses to be seen
And your anger protects it from exposure
“This is why!” Anger exclaims
“Why I refuse to stand down
the guard I’ve held for so long!”
Angry shouting and marching on
“Anger is why I hide” says Hurt
“That fire keeps away the pain…
pain that hurts me so”
Shamed and fearful crying
What are you so afraid of, little girl?
You may die from the pain you imagine
You may live from the reality of that hurt
Stop your carrying on
Who are you angry with?
What do you fear the most?
Why do you accept that fate?
Are you angry, little girl?
